It would be really helpful if could change the project’s starting packages and common settings (compiler configuration, color space, input handling, build target, etc) when creating the project itself, it would save quite a bit of time wasted due to reimporting a lot of times just setting up new projects

Yeah, a prompt at the beginning of the project asking you what configuration would you like to have in it would be very nice.
