Okay, I’ll start off by saying thank you to the forums, and Unity Answers. I couldn’t have gotten this far without you. I’ve been working on my first Unity 3D project for a little while now. I’d like to share what I have so far. It’s not much, I have a top down shooter that consists of one level. The player can shoot, dodge bullets, die when hit, and rack up points. The main objective is to kill the boss at the end of the level. I want to take this game much further, and I recognize that I have a long way to go. Despite this, I’d like to open the prototype up for feedback. I’m looking for advice on the flow of the game and feel.
I’d also be open to any pointers on making a game like this. One thing that I’ve learned is that there’s way more to every game, design wise. Even this shooter forced me to come up with creative design solutions. Please let me know what you think. Here’s a link to the game, and full instructions on how to play.
Also, not sure if this is the proper place, but this game is not really “Showcase or Announcement” ready yet.
Side Note: I had the hardest time trying to get game play footage. Are there any Windows based screen capture programs that put things in a YouTube friendly file format?
Here’s a few pics too.
