I don’t know what to say. I just worked on my game for like 4-5 hours, no big breaks or anything either, and it was like pretty chill, just chugging away, play testing, adding new features and ideas as they developed. It’s a casual 2D arcade game, geometric type stuff.
So ya, do any of you have any tips for like… how to not feel lazy after doing a good solid chunk of work? I don’t know, it’s like perfectionism, but like, workaholicism. I don’t like it one bit. I’m working with my psychiatrist on a lot of stuff, but ya, I mean sometimes it’s just too much. I guess what I mean is, are there any like things you can say to yourself after a session that sort of make you feel prouder of what you’ve done, any like mental tricks to feel more relaxed?
Not only will you come back completely and totally regenerated, but you will have given the work and learning the perfect place and time to sink into your mind while you focus on working out.
It really works. Walking is the best thing for mental health.
I would agree! There is a rose garden a 1/2 mile from my place that I walk to every day, I physically stop and smell the roses daily. It is very refreshing. Some of my best ideas come at that time, too.
