Feet backwards in T pose (imported from Blender)

I am hoping someone can help me - I’ve been following tutorials today to rig my model, and it is behaving great in Blender. However, when I import it to Unity and enforce T pose, the feet twist backward. When I rotate them into the correct position, Unity won’t accept the foot bones (but all other bones are fine). Does anyone know what is causing this? I had IK and poles on before and removed them in case that was causing issues, nothing changed though. I’m unsure of what else it could be (the foot is parented to the shin, and parent of the toes, so that’s not it). Any ideas?

I ran into the same thing just now and turns out my model had their left and right backwards (was labeled from the perspective of the viewer, not the character), which affects how unity imports and detects orientation, hope this helps!

Tons of thank you @Quesadillas999 from 2022. After 1 hour of pointless try-and-guess, you solved my problem.

Kudos for you.
