And that’s a perfect example of how and why Unity isn’t just for games! Educational titles are something we would love to see more of, “edutainment”. Of course we want to see that segment grow along with games for entertainment, but 3D as an educational vehicle is a huge area of growth that we think Unity can tap into.
so we´re in version 1.0 and we wanna improve next versions
it is indeed a edutainment game, but we added some fun and gameplay to it.
so you have to do some races
you have to find the hidden levels
you have to collect points
and what was most important you have to work with your traktor you can drive it
currently we are planning version 2 but first of all we need some holiday
for release, currently we are deploying only for windows, but on special wishes we want to deploy it for mac - this is as everybody know a “one-click” thing in unity…
I grew up in farming country in northern California in the USA, I’ve been in a few “tractor races” (unsanctioned and frankly I don’t know how we didn’t get into more trouble ), that could be fun! I can’t wait to try it.
Enjoy your holiday, rest up and come back at it with the energy reserves topped up.
Love the graphics, top notch, and I love the concept. Only thing I might change is the steering. On my system at least, it was pretty hard to control the left/right turns. Very cool though…
After the game was finished loading, my PC slowed down considerably. I couldn’t get the window to be scrolled to the right place, because of the unresponsiveness that occurred, so I tried to go into fullscreen. That was a very bad idea, as I just got a black screen for a minute, and it took the computer several more minutes to recover completely after force quitting my browser. During that time, I was stuck in a low-resolution nightmare, able to do nothing, assuming that I would need to restart the machine, which would have been a faster method, I now realize.
The flashing light on the tractor appears to have unlimited range as it lights up buildings across the other side of the village. It also shines through the wall of the shed you can drive into.
If you press reset (F1 key) rapidly you can levitate the tractor far above the town. However, doing it too much caused Firefox to crash (in full screen mode).
Being able to raise and lower the scoop arm and control the angle of the bucket would add a lot to the game.
The chunks of snow (or solid ice since they don’t break) didn’t seem to enter the scoop meaning that all you can do is push them around.
There is no indication where to move the snow to (not that I could see).
