Fendt Trial v1.0

So after many month it´s done:

www.kuhbuckel.com

we will release that thing next week.

and we are proud of doing this with unity.
as many posts in this forum mentioned, unity enables you to do what you want, in an fast and easy way.

thanks to this community and thanks to the otee team !

Looks fantasitc! Will you be posting a web player or a Mac standalone build in the future? Or is Windows your only deployment target for now?

Just wondering as the screenies make it look oh so tasty… Nice work! 8)

I like it but seems like a farm’s tractor doing farm’s work ??

Looks more like a educational software than a game… i would love to play it though  to break the mistery of the gameplay.

.ORG

And that’s a perfect example of how and why Unity isn’t just for games! Educational titles are something we would love to see more of, “edutainment”. Of course we want to see that segment grow along with games for entertainment, but 3D as an educational vehicle is a huge area of growth that we think Unity can tap into.

thanks alot,

so we´re in version 1.0 and we wanna improve next versions

it is indeed a edutainment game, but we added some fun and gameplay to it.

  • so you have to do some races
  • you have to find the hidden levels
  • you have to collect points

and what was most important you have to work with your traktor you can drive it

currently we are planning version 2 but first of all we need some holiday

for release, currently we are deploying only for windows, but on special wishes we want to deploy it for mac - this is as everybody know a “one-click” thing in unity…

Looks fantastic! I hope all your hard work pays off

I grew up in farming country in northern California in the USA, I’ve been in a few “tractor races” (unsanctioned and frankly I don’t know how we didn’t get into more trouble ), that could be fun! I can’t wait to try it.

Enjoy your holiday, rest up and come back at it with the energy reserves topped up.

Hi HiggyB,

we just add a webdemo of one level…
feel free to try, it´s a little bit big, but it works

www.kuhbuckel.com

best regards !!

Love the graphics, top notch, and I love the concept. Only thing I might change is the steering. On my system at least, it was pretty hard to control the left/right turns. Very cool though…

Wow, nice work! I’ll be adding it to the next WMG site update if you don’t mind.

Sadly completely unplayable here on a Mini with fps<=1.

DaveyJJ do this, we always apreciate fans

Same here, extremely low fps on a MacBook. Looks good though.

Unfortunately, seem on my Mac Pro with a nice gfx card. Something is slowing it down significantly. I would guess it’s about 5 FPS on my machine…

Aside of that, it looks very nice though. And cool sound

Its pretty cool, but unplayable in windowed mode and choppy in fullscreen. Also, couldn’t figure out my objective except for “shoveling the snow”.

After the game was finished loading, my PC slowed down considerably. I couldn’t get the window to be scrolled to the right place, because of the unresponsiveness that occurred, so I tried to go into fullscreen. That was a very bad idea, as I just got a black screen for a minute, and it took the computer several more minutes to recover completely after force quitting my browser. During that time, I was stuck in a low-resolution nightmare, able to do nothing, assuming that I would need to restart the machine, which would have been a faster method, I now realize.

This is SO cool!
I love the idea of using physics for these kind of games. The “Random” is so much fun!
Awesome!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Looks great.

A couple of things I noticed were:

  1. The flashing light on the tractor appears to have unlimited range as it lights up buildings across the other side of the village. It also shines through the wall of the shed you can drive into.

  2. If you press reset (F1 key) rapidly you can levitate the tractor far above the town. However, doing it too much caused Firefox to crash (in full screen mode).

  3. Being able to raise and lower the scoop arm and control the angle of the bucket would add a lot to the game.

  4. The chunks of snow (or solid ice since they don’t break) didn’t seem to enter the scoop meaning that all you can do is push them around.

  5. There is no indication where to move the snow to (not that I could see).

Thanks guys, we will improve it permanently

(1)
we will correct that
(2)
oh we know, in the other levels it is sometimes fun to do, in the “CD” Version it is not crashing the system. But thanks

(3)Oh we know, all the players on the AGRITECHINIKA 2007 wanted to play with the bucket…we are implementing it

(4) We are trying currently to give a real snow feeling  not so easy

(5) There are red "marks (boxes) you have to bring the ice cubes into that areas

Have fun !!!
