People really don’t bother checking if their videos actually work do they?
Videos are private and do not work… and “Its the first and most likely only zombie FPS in Unity” Is this a joke?
I changed the video from private to public and @ExDeaDguY you are listening wayyyy too hard I said only zombie fps for ps vita
Yeah, this must be a joke. Videos recorded with a phone held in a hand? Seriously?
@Fluzing Well… it’s a WIP thread, not a professional presentation.
Regardless, the game looks interesting. I’ll have to give it a try when it gets released on PSM! Good luck!
@Fluzing Its not a joke, I don’t have the best cameras out there, and its a handheld device. it doesn’t have a capture. thanks dave for understanding…Hey im just making games that people wanted for the vita when it was first released(or at least trying) and I am just a beginner at coding and im not the best developer but do what I can
No offense, but if you want people to seriously look at your work you have to make it bearable to watch. You are using Unity, right? You can easily run the game in Unity and record that.
I know, I have a desktop recorder but I want people to see how it runs on the device also. That im trying to push the device to its limits. The game isn’t being made for the desktop but next time ill record iti from there since it does have better quality
We all start somewhere. A couple of suggestions that are more constructive:
Only do one video that shows it running on the platform.
Put the camera on a tripod or try to keep it stable on a desk.
For everything else, use capture.
If you have a new enough nVidia GeForce card, the software “GeForce Experience” includes capture software.
If not, you could just use FRAPS.
Keep going.
Ground textures seem low res, and the default Unity grass is a turn off.
OK thanks for the reply I will take away the grass and make the textures for the ground bumped diffused…I’m also taking away the mountains that stops you from falling off the map and imma put meshes instead
Thanks, I like the positive feedback so I will do all of you guys siggestions
I’m not saying it looks flat, it’s just too low res. Use a 512x512 map or tile it by 2.
Sorry didnt mean to sound like a hater… To be fair,I wasn’t listening too hard… I was just reading what was there… cus at the time the video was unviewable… So I really wasn’t listening to anything and what I read was “Its the first and most likely only zombie FPS in Unity” lol. Anyways good luck. Hope it turns out well.
Just some feedback, from the video what I seen looked alright but… keep it simple. We are all game devs here or experimenting with Unity so we don’t really need a walkthrough of what unity or the vita is capable of. Show the WIP and keep things moving. (Comment towards video 2). I watched a lil of the video and just had to keep skipping through it cus you didnt stop talking about the device, and what this and that meant.
Haha ok I’ll keep things more simple next time haha
Get FRAPS or something similar, honestly.
