Where should I post jobs/get in touch with unity programmers? - and yes I am aware that this isn’t perhaps as relevant as it should be, but it is sooo hard to find anyone local that works with unity!

Finding a well qualified developer can be quite tough, but I have a simple answer…Get a Referral!!
I actually know many talented (and affordable) software developers. I’d be happy to provide an introduction if anyone has a project they need assistance on.

Check local global game jams. Do you live near a city? Ludum Dare game jams and Global game jams are great places to network.
You may have to take a drive to attend meetings for a games group, but it’ll be worth it if you can meet friends, network, learn new things, all that stuff that’s been said before.
The lack of developers is a really common problem. This is why outsourcing and outstaffing have become so popular. You should check out this post, because hiring a dedicated developer may be the best option for you. Well, at least, it’s an interesting solution and you won’t have to look for the dev for yourself.
