Finger touch movement

So i want the player to mimic my finger movement(not snap to finger). So if I put my finger anywhere on the screen and swipe my finger across the screen the player should also move.(or up and down)

Think of Rolling sky, in that game you only move left and right and you can change the direction from anywhere on the screen.

SO to summarize, how do i controll my player’s movement from anywhere on the mobile screen without the playet snapping to my finger.

Well, let’s imagine for a left/right swipe. You have a starting position, a drag, and an end point (for simplicity).
From that, you can get a direction and use that for your player’s movement.
