Could somebody please exlplain the deal with Firefox (latest stable version of course) and Unity Web player?
I keep getting quite bad system instability (CPU spikes, RAM Spikes, lag, etc) when viewing content made with Unity on Firefox… I have no trouble with anything else of this nature anywere else (online/offline)
How exactly are Unity and Adobe Flash related?
Also, a few more pressing questions:
-
Why is there no “Unity Plugin” for Firefox while Adobe has like 2 for each media platform? (Shockwave, Flash, etc…)
-
Why is my GPU sitting idle while my CPU struggles to process large amounts of graphical content while on Firefox using Unity?
-
Why do I have at least two processes on my Task manager called “flashPlayerPlugin_version_.exe” that are using HUGE amounts of RAM when there is no Adobe Flash content running anywhere on my page? (obviously all being played by Unity)
Somebody please help!
