First Ever Post-Apocalyptic FPS for Oculus Rift developed with Unity

We wanted to create an artistic, story driven experience which combines the fast pace adventure of an FPS with the visual exploration technologies of VR. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world and follows Isaac, an ex-wasteland pirate. His life was nothing but survival until he met Gina. Gina showed him that there was joy in life, and gave him hope for a better future.
As Gina and Isaac’s beloved brother Victor are held at gun point by the wasteland rebel group, Isaac must do everything he can to save them before the time runs out.

Skynet Rising includes speedruns, boss fights and ultra realistic graphics in a 360 degree VR experience. You will need to have a perfected strategy for each section of the game in order to succeed. Every second and bullet counts.

Here are some screenshots from the game:

Are you worried about trademark infringement with the Terminator franchise?

Hey @TonyLi Thanks for your comment. We have looked into the trademark, and turns out the Terminator franchise does not own the trade for the word “skynet.” Because we are not using it in any way similar to Terminator, we believe it will not be an issue.
Hope you enjoy our game, and cant wait for you to see it!

Thoughts??

Looks nice! I imagine that if it’s animated it’ll look especially good. Although the foreground actor has a strange black outline that doesn’t seem to fit with the rest of the image or the gameplay screenshots.

Good luck with “skynet”. (Might want to check the USPTO database again.) This topic is particularly timely considering No Man’s Sky just recently settled their three year court battle over the word “sky”.

Otherwise, good luck with the game! VR is an exciting field to be in right now!
