Hi there,
Tried it at work, and couldn’t figure out what to do. All I can see is some circles moving around in random direction, can’t select any of them.
Would you mind explaining what to do in this game?. Seems like its not a full demo.
P.S Upload few pics and a video if you want people to try it.
I usually don’t click on links to random sites posted in the forums… unless I see some screen shots, video, or something to get me interested. Just a thought, might get more people to look at it, if you posted something more than a link here.
Thanks for the feedback! I am new to Unity and the forums here so forgive my noobie ways
I’ve now got it up on steam greenlight, mostly to get experience with the process. I have also updated the description on the demo page (still just www.grubbymonster.com). Below are some screenshots although there are videos on the greenlight page ( Steam Community :: Error )
Thanks for the updates. Looks like a cool concept, and the UI looks cool too.
I didn’t know anything got on Steam that wasn’t like “super awesome, HD, realistic, AAA style” games. Good to know if/when games of this style are being accepted and do well on Steam. For example, I’m working on a FPS zombie shooter, and while IMHO it rivals other games on the Windows, Android and iOS stores, when I thought about putting it on Steam, looking at the other zombie shooter games on Steam, they were all AMAZINGLY better than mine – like paid actors/voices, cinematic trailers, super realistic, etc. Even the ones that were $4.99, so didn’t really see a chance for me in that market.
Steam has a big variety of games from complete indie to AAA. Its a good idea to get it up before its finished since you are looking to get feedback/support and the greenlight process (for an unknown indie game) can take many months. The give you numbers that indicate how close you are to the top 100 games, mine is currently sitting at 25% but it slows down a lot after your game is no longer on the front page.
Also, there is a section for game concepts but it sounds like yours is already far along the dev process.
I have recently added the alpha version downloads here: www.grubbymonster.com if anyone is interested in checking it out.
Thanks!
