cool game. fun to play and looks really nice!

It was fun, and visually nice. The only problem I have is the shop menu’s art, while nice, seems a bit “busy” to me. It was almost difficult for me to determine where to look (granted, I am very tired right now so this could be the problem as well). Other than that, I liked the game!

I literally just sat here and played this for like an hour.

@ Lean13 Thanks so much!

@AnimalMother Perhaps it’s the scrolling background that’s turning you off? xD Of course, it could also be the fact that everything is so big, because the game was designed originally for phones and such. Still, thanks for your feedback! Glad you liked the game!

@Christian All according to plan lol. Thanks for playing!

That’s a damn fun game! Takes a little getting used to but is pretty damn addictive. The only thing I would change is make it so that the user has more of an idea of when they break their personal record, and maybe have a leader board for all users.

How are you doing the “streamers” as the cat falls? Looks almost like rain but it changes direction based on the cat’s velocity.

2200
Really addictive. Great work!
Edit: Umm… lava terrain

@Pakarat Thanks! Also, what’s wrong with lava terrain? The fact that the term “lave terrain” is ridiculous? Because honestly I didn’t give the name much thought until you just pointed it out lol. I’ll just roll with it.

@Autonoma - Fantastic idea! Your height and distance records are shown both before you take off and after you land, but I could also add in some sort of in-game identifier at the previous records so players can actually see themselves passing it.

As for the little wind streamers:

I attached a particle system to the main character and moved it way out in front of him, as you can see in the picture. So, as the main chara’s angles change and such, so too do the particles.

Yeah I saw that they were shown, but when you break it while playing it would be nice to see something say “NEW RECORD!” or something…

Thanks for the tip on the particles!!

Check this:
Haha! New record 35000

Have you thought about zooming the camera out a little after launching so that it’s easier to see power ups coming? It seems it’s almost just luck with me hitting them - with the camera zoomed out a little it would be easier to plan a trajectory.

Still loving the game though, and I saw the high score line last night!

@Pakarat HOLY COW. My own record is only like 8500 or something. It’s so ironic how I’m not even good at my own game xD

@Autonoma I’ve actually done zoom-outs on the game at least 2-3 times while the game was in production. The game started out with a camera so close that it was annoying to play lol. But the way it is now is the way it will stay I think. Without the “indicators powerup” to show you where incoming items are, you still have about a half a second to maneuver kitty once items enter the screen. I think it’s a good balance between sheer luck and a bit of skill that allows you to steer kitty into stuff.

As for the high score lines, yes! Took your advice and made a “high distance” line and a “high height” line. If either one is broken during gameplay then you get a “NEW RECORD” notification when the round is over. Thanks for the awesome idea!

@pakarat: HOW THE HELL DID YOU MANAGE THAT!?

Haha , I think I was playing that for 10-15 mins and I also think that this is the only problem of the game: it should be faster, as you go…Sometimes I wonder how can people make this kind of the game, when you want to test the game you can not stop playing - or its just me :stuck_out_tongue: .

This is awesomely fun! Great job!

@Pakarat Nope lol it’s not just you. I found myself getting addicted to playing it even as I was making it. Again, ironic xD

@Seth Thanks!

@ Seth McCumber: I AGREE!!! this game had me hooked while i was doing my homework and got bored  I only got as far as 500 distance and height though…

@Pakarat: now there’s a valid point. pitty i can’t say the same for my game… yet.
