first person control prefab is not working in game mode

Hi, I recently downloaded the free version of unity 3d. I made a simple map layout and attached the standard assets (mobile) first person controls to a camera like was shown in a video I watched. I am having a problem moving around. I enter game mode but I can’t move. After looking around I realized that someone else had the same problem and it was because they were using the standard assets (mobile) and should be using just standard assets. I however do not seem to have any first person control scripts under my standard assets tab. All I have that downloaded was the terrain options. So am not sure if I was supposed to get the standard assets options with the free version or if that is only in the pro version that cost 1500 dollars. I have a HP and running windows vista. Not only do I not have just the simple standard assets options but a lot of the terrain options like simple trees and the blue sky option were not downloaded. I am wondering if this is because of the computer I have or again if these are options that only come with the pro version. If so is there a fix? Also if I should have gotten these options on downloading can I go somewhere to try re-downloading just these specific features without having to re-download the whole program. Thanks

The mobile versions are lumped together into a single “standard assets” package, the rest are divided up into separate import packages by category. The ones you want should be under “Assets->Import Package->Character Controller.” These should install even with the basic version of Unity.
