First Progressive Unity project. Feedback appreciated!!!

Hey all, first project thread :]

I’ve been working on a game called RANE, (Yes, I realize that’s spelled wrong.) I have some larger than what I can accomplish plans for it, but I’ve been progressing at a steady, but slow, rate of learning my way around javascript.

RANE is focused in a world where the world has been split into the rich and poor. The poor have been forced out of society into the outlying desert, but not quite so willingly. They often coordinate riots and violent protests, provoking Officials of higher ranking. This eventually turns into a type of war, in which your character contributes. You can play either the the pawn of the Officails, or as a rebellious outlander who helps coordinate and participate in riots in the sake of equality.

The game right now is so far beyond playable it’s almost amusing. This project has been more or less a testing phase for me. Writing scripts, seeing how they’ll work, stuff like that. So, if you’ve gotten this far, view this topic as me asking for feedback on what I’m doing that can be improved, and tips on things I can look into. So here’s a couple project updates: (listed newest to oldest)

Project update 3: features opening scene to the first objective on the Official side. You’ve been told to scout a supposedly abandoned Rebel camp. Basically showing off work on vehicles and weapons.

Project update 2: Simply featuring some of the gun mechanics I’ve worked up.

Well there’s not much to comment on yet.

I’ll be glad to pass on some unsolicited advice though. Consider scaling your plans down to what you’re reasonably sure that you can accomplish alone. It’s a lot more exciting to finish a smaller project than to fail a larger one.

That being said, it looks like you’re making progress so keep it up!
