Our team Blindflug Studios is currently working on a big update for our Game First Strike.
Since we’ve been showcased by Unity a while ago, it seems like it’s about time to open up a thread in this forum.
We would like to share our latest game trailer with you:
If you have any feedback, ideas, questions or anything else, feel free to post them here.
We’re looking forward to an interesting discussion.
In First Strike you choose one of eleven nuclear superpowers and try to be the last one remaining when war breaks out. Choosing a superpower carries differences in location as well as technological advantage.
The game plays realtime on a globe. A Superpower Alliance consists of several nations. By selecting one of your nations you can give them commands. You can either build up missiles, expand to other neutral nations, research new technologies for all your nations or attack other nations with missiles. Each action takes a certain amount of time, during which your nation cant defend itself by intercepting other missiles with small cruise missiles. So you need to strategically decide which nations to use and which to keep idle to defend with.
When you are ready to attack you choose a nation, select attack and see the range of all of your missiles. By selecting and confirming a target you fire a missile to that nation. The AI of the game keeps track of who attacked who and who poses a thread, so you need to choose carefully. If you are ready for a gamble you can use the “First Strike” ability, which fires all of your missiles into a target region. But beware of other superpowers retaliating!
The game takes around 10-15 minutes and can be played against up to ten CPU enemies.
