It’ for us a first test in unity and show here some asset
its a 2 day job for now, it’s remain some default but i make a second pass after
some gameplay test
the main character
in game
some arena module
editor views
I not confortable with write shaders in unity and I only use the presets shaders
I work since 6 year in cg but its my first realtime project, and we want try unity
Its a little test for us before sart a bigger project
By the way, I am having difficulties with shaders
I try to add some self illum effect to my shader (its the same for all the object ,the reflective diffuse bump I think)
there exists a blend or something between shader ?
I come from precalculated 3d and I’m used with the mental ray shaders
I think there is a self illuminating shader, but I won’t check cause I’m too lazy to start up Unity. There are mixes of shaders that exist out there, such as Bumped Diffuse, or Spec mapped Bumped Diffuse. But it would probably be built in, so there shouldn’t be a need to get one or make one.
Oh and also, self illuminating probably doesn’t mean illuminating the scene, just the material. So you’d have to add a lamp near the object with that shader, to make it more realistic.
There are at least 2 Node Based shader editors out there. one is free, and i think you can buy the other one off unity asset store.
If you are familiar to node based systems it should not be hard to create the shaders with the effects you want.
the art inspiration is definitively speedBall but not for the gameplay
its a multiplayer team based gameplay
with a very simple gameplay ,but it’s play in our system called 5DI (based on pc)
for amusment park
it’s a 7 m diagonal screen with special effect (smoke ,motion seats,stereo, )
an a gun controller like wii (the player can shoot the screen)
if the player shoot the enemy drone ,the dron its hurt
if the player shoot the friend drone ,the drone its heal
and if the player shoot its own drone ,a shield is generated
a 3 team arena and GUI test
we take a picture of the players and put the photo ingame
