With today’s announcement I’ve decided to return to unity but I’m completely unfamiliar with the new forums.
I had some questions I wanted to ask about best practices for a project, where should I post them?
My first question I was looking to get info on is if anyone knows a good tutorial To make a distance camera for an open world.
Specifically I’m wanting to make it its own frame cycle so that I can make it lower priority.
Where would be an appropriate place to post that?
Threads are tagged now as opposed to being in specific areas. Just make a new Unity Engine topic and tag it with all the relevant tags.

Thanks!
By the way, nice to see a familiar face.

Seing how many people that left because of bad unity decisions must mean people in general have small and uncomplex projects .
Doesnt matter how much unity disbehaves we cant move because of the amount of timesink and complexity of our project
Most proffesionals devs rarely angages with forum activities. There are some sure. And few very good ones. Also some are just in very specific Unity forum sections, which you don’t see anywhere else. But that is small fraction to what beginners and hobbiests engagement is.
Which is completely expected.
I even also myself been less active here, as many questions I can find answers to. So no need to ask the same. Anything else is very technical and project specific, which is less of value to ask here. My work colleagues also rarely participate on the forum. So there is that.
Time unfortunatelly is highly valuable.
Indeed, it is hard, to impossible move in mid long term projects, withouth incurring cost.

I tend to look into product areas, or links section. Then read, or engage there.
It is kinda similar yet different for what was on older forum. I got mixed feelings. Neither good or bad.
