Hello fellow developers,

I’m working on my first game in unity for Android and would appreciate any feedback.

Can you beat my high score?!

It’s great! Art is a bit too hand-drawn for my taste but i like it all right :slight_smile:
The controls have to be improved a bit tho, it’s way too tight and not very sensitive. I don’t know if it’s a problem on my behalf but check that out.
Also a bit more audio and visual impact when clicking on UI components and when landing, dying and stuff would be great!
Overall great game if you’d improve on those point’s :slight_smile:

Just tried out your game. The gameplay and controls need more fine tuning - checkout Mega Jump…its similar to your game and plays very well.

Yes I will work on this and looks at mega jump, I’ve found the controls are really snappy on my Pixel 4XL but a bit slow or like unityboss123 said not sensitive enough. Thanks!

I checked Your game.

For me the biggest issue was the monotony of the game.
I played it for quite a long time and it was about doing the same thing all the time.
You should add something in like every 500 - 1000 points. Change environment(even something as simple as color change) or change physics/speed… for example.

For the same reason - monotony, I didnt really want to play ads(I did play ads but didnt really want to).
Why play ads when I can click restart and I have the same game I had, only some points lost which dont mean much.

So in conclusion:

  1. My first impression was kinda negative because of the movement system.
  2. After I played for a while I was like: “OK, Its actually an enjoyable game”
  3. After I played for longer time I got bored because it was a monotony.

Yes ive added a colour change to the sky and I will be adding some music to try avoid the monotony aspects. More power ups, collectable clams, ive added characters to unlock to also help with this. The sky gets darker at 3500 but maybe thats kinda high Ill play with it, goes even darker at 7000.

Now if you have a high multiplier and deep into a game you will recieve more clams which let you buy skins. I feel this was a way to get you to watch an ad and continue to keep the multiplier.
Yeah I get that, thank you Ill keep all this in mind and push to making getting further benefitial and different to keep interest.
