Is there every gonna be FLASH file importing as interactive textures ?
Really this is something which would be so cool to have in unity3D. A way to load a flashfile as a texture (preferably with mouse and kbd interactions).
It would enable us to do timeline based 2D stuff like it is so easy to do in flash, but in meanwhile you could do it within the unity3D 3D environment.
Rob Terrel made a nice plugin for the htmltexture plugin, bug that seems not to work reliably and also not on windows.
Anyone have an idea ?

This has been requested before and I agree it would be an awesome addition as the current GUI tools are pretty wimpy. Last time someone from UT responded on this subject IIRC the answer was that it wasn’t on the radar, but maybe things will have changed by now?

I think in the past this has been seen as COMPETITION to the unity gui, but actually, flash is so much more then unity gui.
It enables to do so many more things and actually, it could enable a huge potential because if you can use flash, you also can get access to microphone, webcam, on2vp6 and h264 video,…
