If you’re asking if you can import a .swf to use as a menu in Unity? No, Unity does not support importing .swf files (although this has been requested in the past).
Oh.
that was a pitty. I will hope it will come in the next version of unity.
Thanks for the help.
I would like to second that I would LOVE to see Unity support Flash! Being able to import a swf file for a GUI menu would be awesome since I’m already fluent in Flash. I’m definitely more of a designer then a programmer (but I haven’t given up on scripting just yet) so having some user interface inside Unity to create a GUI for my games would be awesome. I’m not implying that I’m not willing to learn how to hand code a new Unity 2.0 GUI because I just upgraded to Unity 2.0 yesterday and that is on my to do list. It’s just that most designers new to Unity will not be thrilled about having to code anything. The less coding that needs to be done inside Unity the broader Unity’s reach will be in the design world. Just as with Flash there are a designers using it and there are programmers using it and there are a few who are blessed with the ability to design and program. From a designers perspective, Unity is awesome and insanely fun to use and exciting and I just can’t seem to soak in enough information about it and how to really take advantage of it. I’m currently going through the new 3rd Person Alien tutorial which is just blowing my mind! That tutorial ROCKS! I just wish that there was a script that would allow me to control the spaceship flying through that world! Or a script that would allow you to control a flying character.
