Flickering shadow problem

Hi guys,

I’m getting weird shadows. I’m using the “Deferred Shadows” with “DirectX11 disabled”. With Dx11 enabled I’m getting even more of these, worst or no shadow at all! See the pic of the prob.

It’s called shadow acne. You fix it by tweaking the bias values until it looks decent and doesn’t float too much.

Does increasing the Bias effect the Performance?

No it’s cause peter panning)

“Peter Panning”? What’s that?

There’s no silver bullet. You have to just balance peter panning w/ shadow acne (and shadow resolution/distance/etc).
