Flight Game

This game has no name so far thus Flight Game

The Game will have 3 modes
Mode 1:
The basic idea of this mode is to have 2 teams with every one in a plane and one HQ per team. The planes will be able to drop down turrets, Tanks, Infantry, and small structures that help them get resources so they can buy more turrets/tanks ect.
Once a player dies they can eater take control of a Unit they have on the ground or re-spawn at the cost of resources.
The Tanks and Infantry will not move too far away from the are they were dropped
First team to destroy enemy base wins

Mode 2:
1 team has the same setup as in mode one but the other team has a Factory for every player that can produce air and ground units faster than the other team but there air units are not as good the other teams but can be controlled by AI so the player on this team are able to switch between any unit at any time and have greater control over there units.
The team with the Factories is also able to construct new structures and there are different types of factories for each player to chose from
Game Ends when all the factories are destroyed or when the HQ is destroyed

Mode 3:
Has 2 Teams with Factories but one tries to defend and the other starts in a small safe area and have to go destroy the other team before time runs out

The Units, Planes and Factories will be customizble

I just started working on the Planes and currently they can take of and land though it is difficult to land currently
I am planing on making the planes easier to fly

You can currently die by accelerating to fast(Like when you hit the ground)

Controls:
WSAD and mouse to control plane(W for boost and S to cut engine)
left Shift to slow down a bit

Now has guns you can fire with the mouse and esier controls

Hello, i just read your post and i like the idea. Specially if you aim for multiplayer. If i were you i would definitly use an islands map. By the way, I’m about to publish a Flight sim pack for unity that allows you to reproduce any type of aircraft with a more than descent simulation and fidelity. I don’t know if i am going to be able to use your flight sim though because I want to have it easily to fly with little attention to realism and i don’t have money to spend on this

It is a mix between simulation and arcade. It allows either simulation setup or arcade yet maintaining basic flight behaviour. Anyway if you want some help with the aircraft sim let me know and i’ll be happy to give you a hand.

just made a new version changed the original link and i probably will need help with flight i Had every thing working fine with a non rigid-body version but it couldn’t collide with any thing and now I am having a big problem with the turning because currently you can cut your engines mid-flight and turn 180 and end up going backwards.

I do need testers and probably a lot of help with the AI as i don’t have unity pro and i would imagine AI for this would still be a pain even with navmesh

I haven’t been able to test this yet with a real online game though i have done some tests with 2 clients running together on my machine
