Flight physics: Take one.

Hello comunity. Here is a video of my first test for flight dynamics simulation.

This is a basic setup. no complicated formulas used (yet) just to get a base line for further development.

This reminds me of FA-18 Interceptor on the Amiga. Obviously with a lot better graphics. Great work so far.

sh0v0r… Damn!! nice work man! loved it! You seem to have a lot of skills refered to HUDs and electronics simulation. Im having a very hard time on those. Love the cockpit too. very nice. By the way what do you think is the best aprouch for HUD in a 3d enviroment?

Im trying to aim for a LookOn type simulation but for that i need to implement a more complex physics formulas but first i want to have all electronics and cockpit instruments sorted out. As well as weapons platforms since the game will be online war oriented.

This SU-33 looks like the one from Lock-On. Did you model this one yourself or not? Anyway, at the moment i’m modeling Mig29SMT (9.17) and i think i have gahtered all information about instruments, electronics and MFD screens. Maybe some sort of collaboration is possible?

@Gundark. the su 33 is a free model i downloaded from the web, i did not modeled it. just using it for testing porpuses can’t contact the creator. I’ll be glad to help each other in what we can. I been messing with it a bit more today and im starting to reach the limitations of a basic physics setup. So i guess it’s time to get down into incorporating proper formulas. So i’ll have to do some research on that.

As for the MFD and other displays i haven’t try anything yet. but i’m not really a visual artist so i’m kinda lost in that way.
