Maybe I’, wrong but i think the only thing we need to get that workflow running is Unity supporting fmod files. I’s on the roadmap… Any of you guys at UT have ant idea how far from U4’s lauch that would be? an estimate would be awesome.
MAN That would be so good! There is a Wwise thing for Unity… but you have to write a whole term paper on why you want to use it. Hopefully it integrates as smoothly as other things in Unity works.
Yeah, my Wwise request is still pending. It seems like a nice tool though.
I got the FMOD plugin (http://squaretangle.com/FMODUnity.html) to work but some things just don’t seem to work properly (e.g. random sound playback). Plus there is as good as no documentation or other resources to find out how to use it so a lot of time is wasted trying out things via trial error.
Guys, I downloaded one from http://www.fmod.org/fmod-downloads.html, instead of http://www.squaretangle.com/FMODUnity.html.
The prev one is offcial one, no docs though, I setup my environment, and get an Error :"The version number of this file format is not supported.". I put a FMOD_bank_list.txt into folder “StreamingAssets”, and put a line of the name of my .fev file, such as, footstep.fev.And got the Error memtioned before. Which kind of file should I use? The fmod version from http://www.fmod.org/fmod-downloads.html is 10209.
