Fog ignored by billboarded trees in Unity 5

Hi

I have upgraded our project to Unity 5. All seems to went well except for the billboarding problem that we have.
When tree changes to its billboard in the distance it completely ignores the fog and is painted in full colours what makes the whole scene look quite weird.

Do you have any suggestions where can be the problem?

You should take a look at the LIGHTING propreties window of Unity5. It helped me understand what was wrong with some of my lighting issues.

You need to use global fog in Unity 5.
