hi all quick question about using fog in unity on mobile devices…
currently my scene has a lot of buildings for the background, and would like to cut it down a bit. i read online that fog can drain performance, but on unity documentation it says fog can be used to increase performance if you set the cameras clipping just behind the fog.
i have tested it on iphone 4 and havent seen any lag, i would say loading takes a bit longer but i havent combined anything yet so not a problem.
has anyone else used this and how has it turned out. i also read it had problems on ipad is this true,
also what would be the best settings for the fog, at the moment my background is fog color to blend in with it
