I’m trying to make a chase cam for a car that is user controlled, I’m experimenting with the varius cinemachine setups but still I can’t get the virtual camera to stay behind the car pointing in the moving direction. Can someone point me to the right direction? I just have a virtual camera as setup.

You could try switching the Body mode to Orbital Transposer and set the Heading to Position Delta. Disable user input by setting the Axis Name to empty. That will keep the camera behind the car. Play with the damping and velocity filter settings to get nice smooth behaviour.
