For fun WIP

I’ve been messing around with unity trying to make a gloomy night scene, just wanted to see what you guys think and if anyone has some tips to help improve the way it looks?

I would say on a really dark night…without a full moon present it would be pitch black in the woods. You do have this going on, but the light torches would have much more intense light spill and would spill out several yards…just intensify the light spilling on the trees and ground and increase the distance being affected by the light spill. Hope this helps ya out.

Thanks for pointing that out thats a good idea and I will work on the light spill. (it does seem very small for such a large flame) This helps a lot I am kinda new to this game. Also wanted to say I like your work, and thank you very much for your input.

It looks pretty cool to me  I’ve noticed the best way to get a response here is to attach a webplayer rather than screenshots. Would be uber cool ( imho ofc ) if the flames were a real light source  other than that pretty dang cool!

Thank you for your input. I have played your 19hr space ore miner and enjoyed. I will try to get a web player up soon, but I think it needs a little more work before it’s ready . I will add light sources to try and fix up the torches. It’s also on an island so i’m working on adding a surrounding background to break up the way the skybox and the water meet up in the distance. Also if you look at the second image i don’t like the way the fog just sits on the terrain in the background making it more of a gray rather then hanging in the air but ill mess with that.
