Forum keeps logging me out

Hi! Since the site was renewed, this forum keeps logging me out whenever I close the browser and return to the forum. Is that a cookie problem?

Could it be because you’re using our new(-ish) domain UNITY3D.COM? Your old stay-logged-in cookie doesn’t transfer over.

Otherwise the forum didn’t change at all. Tell me if you keep having this problem though (and if others are experiencing this too).

As reported already i sometimes have to login twice since the new site is up.

i have this problem too, a quick workaround for now: when you sign in check the “log me in auto” button and then when you navigate back to the forums later if it looks like you are not logged in just press the “Profile” link at the top of the page, for some strange reason it will log you in.

If I log in first then wanted to post or reply to a topic, I have to log in again.

I just link to the forum now directly ( http://forum.otee.dk/ ). Since then it worked for me. By the way the time is also wrong here: should be one more hour.

The forum seems all F’ed up right now… log-in twice, reply to post brings me back to log-in, quote a post does the same… and for Admin stuff it takes me 2 tries to ban a spammer.

Have you set your time zone porperly in your user preferences? (CET is GMT+2 hours during summertime… apparently, phpBB doesn’t know about daylights saving time.)

Regarding the forum logging you out… it seems as the login form redirects you to forum.otee.dk even though you come from the forum.unity3d.com domain. Which means that you can only log in to the forum.otee.dk domain.

That should explain why Taumel’s suggestion about using http://forum.otee.dk directly should work.

I have never used Unity3D.com

No, there is something a little woggly about the forums right now… Did OTEE finally find a new ISP besides Plesk?

@freyr
As far as i know, i’m living in a GMT+1 zone…so it’s the summertime…okay

CET is GMT+1 during winter and GMT+2 during summer.

I think the forum login problem is solved. Please drop me a mail if you’re still having trouble.

Another problem that came up when I changed the website to force using unity3d.com instead of the old otee.dk:

Some RSS readers (notably NetNewsWire Lite) don’t respect the forward and just fail. If you have one of these, resubscribe to the feed.
