Take a glance at Unity forums and we can see there is no place to properly discuss Unity’s Audio.
Creating Audio forum is critical due to Unity’s upcoming new Audio System.
Sound itself plays an important role in games and I think this must be discussed as well.
What do you guys think?
while important, I dont think its a large enough topic to require its own section.

Regardless of possible low popularity of such forum, Audio is important enougth to have its own section.
I can barely think of more than 5 topics related to audio that cant be slotted into other areas…
Should I/How important is audio in a game (game design)
How do I play an audio file (scripting)
Download my sweet audio pack (assets)
Should I use mp3/ogg/other (scripting/game design/device sub-sections)
How do I layer audio/prioritise audio tasks (scripting/game design)
im sure you can think of a few others, but its a limited subject.

It’s not only about discussion of Audio in general, but discussion about Unity’s audio system.

Sounds like a great idea. I would definitely visit and post there once it gets created!

I would like a Audio Section as well. After I get my Violin and Ocarina or Armenian Duduk I’ll be set with the music I’m going for. And of course I’ll make music packs, sound effects, etc.
Have you not seen the new audio features in Unity 5? I think there’s going to be quite a lot to talk about.

I think new forums are mostly a good thing, when sensibly done.
Although they do divide the community and reduce the traffic to each individual forum, they also limit the number and scope of topics within that umbrella, so each thread gets a larger share of the traffic.
we’ll see how it works out
