There isn’t a video… yet. Is there a recommended (or common) approach for doing these videos? Do I literally use a video camera and record me playing, or something like fraps to record the game?
It’s personal preference I think it’s more professional to capture the data straight from the computer but thats just my view…not convinced shaky camera game action with bad lighting is the way to go I use ScreenFlow it’s relatively cheap as well…
Thanks! One question about ScreenFlow, it says you can use any simulator to record for iPhone, so do you just capture the Unity play window? I was under the impression Unity wouldn’t play in the Apple simulator, is that correct?
But a little confused I use screen flow just to capture my playing data and then i incorporate it into my website not sure why you need the simulator…?
screen flow captures anything on a screen…even if you have dual screens…and running pc emulation on your Mac…like me… it lets you choose which screen to capture…It’s a nice slick product! recommend it to any one creating Iphone content…or training videos…I use to use adobe Premier to edit stuff …but you can edit really easily in screenflow…is so much simpler it took me 5 mins to work it out…
I was hoping the software would capture direct from the device, but the marketing information on the Screenflow site refers to capturing using “any simulator”, but perhaps I’m not understanding what they’re referring to.
In the tradition of the Unity forums (at least in relation to iPhone games ), here are 10 free codes for Fowl Invaders. Please call out here if you use one. App reviews (here and/or on iTunes) are more than welcome
Hehe, no worries. I can’t actually see how fast the codes are used, however I threw 5 out on touch arcade and they disappeared so fast I refreshed my screen after 30 seconds and they were apparently … gone!!
The third poster said so! I’ve been agonizing over this game going live for 3 weeks, and I’ve only had limited feedback mostly from a couple of testers to this point. So I’m over anxious to hear if others like what I’ve built
Now, I’m over the magic 10Mb download limit, soo… I guess that’s part of it.
I’m actually amazed at how fast I’ve begun fuming over every detail. “stupid screen shots”, blurry graphics here, did I just see a stutter during game play… and so on.
Oh well, time will tell (send your responses care of the local mental health organization  )
