FPC Pro. Advanced First Person Controller.

Hi,

I’m working on an advanced first person controller. You can prone, crouch, run, use ladders, swim dive, sound effects included.

It’s not finished yet, but ou can test it, here: http://www.jocyf.com/Preview/FPCPro/FPCProDemo.html

Nice, are you going to release this in the assets store?

Yes but first i have to finish it. There are a few errors i have to fix and some feature i want to add.

That scene is using Cinema4D models that has to be changed to fbx, and i’m using allegoric subtances for all the textures. If i want to submit this utility to the Asset Store, i need to use regular basic in-house textures.

Here is a new video showing the scene with some improvements and bugs fixed.

Again, you can test it here: http://www.jocyf.com/Preview/FPCPro/FPCProDemo.html

I’ve been working on this utility for sometime now in my free time. A few visual effects have been added and some scripts have been improved.
Now you can kick (double jump), side kick (side+jump keys), use a ligth and change the hole scene to “night mode”.

Will it be free?

can you make it not move right and left when you climb the ladder?

Nop.

Yes. Every ladder has a lateral movement flag, a mouse lateral-rotation limit and a jump force (used by the FPC to jump backwards).

Very impressive, keep it up!

Thanks for the comments.

At last FPC Pro is available in the Asset Store: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/#/content/9563

You can test the last version here : http://www.jocyf.com/Preview/FPCPro/FPCProDemo.html

Just in case, this is how FPC Pro’s kicks works:
Normal kick : Press twice jump while walking or running towards a target (an object, wall or enemy).
High kick : Normal kick at certain altitude (jumping first).
Side kick : Press jump while strafing towards an object or wall.
Above kick : Only on enemies. Fall (after jump) on enemy’s head to hurt him. Normal kicks works on enemies too.

EDIT : For now it hasn’t mobile compatibility (it hasn’t virtual controls to move and jump, etc).

$30?

Yes, 30 dollars. Why the question?

Once i finished the first version of the FPC Pro, I opened other post in the Assets section of the forum, here:
http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/189612-FPC-Pro-an-advanced-First-Person-Controller

Two new versions had been released so far with new improvements and i’m working in the next release. Comments suggestions to improve the FPC pro are wellcome.
