So im working on a game atm which is a FPS but i wanted to make a descent sized map in a city. Now im not talking GTA size maps or even an island size but i do want a map which is pretty big. Now i now Unity can do this the question i have though is that the game i am creating needs lots of buildings to enter, not all buildings need to be able to go all the way inside, for example just 1 or 2 stories in a skyscraper. Could i make a pretty decent FPS map with lots of buildings, skyscrapers etc. to enter?
And my last question is about licensed guns in games. I’ve been searching Turbosquid for gun models and I’ve come across a few that i like, but the problem is most of them are modeled after real guns and i don’t want to get into any trouble for using them in my game. How would i go about using weapons? Do i just rename the guns for example change M-16 to just Assault Rifle or do i need to change the model itself. If so where could i buy models that are based off the real thing but not EXACT copies of the real thing. Thanks for any help.
