FPS Full body with IK or UFPS style hands and floating legs

I’ve been trying to get an fps system working where the camera is in front of the character’s face and the arms are simply IK’d to the weapon. I get some issues with the elbow bending unnaturally and I’m not quite sure how well the system will work. Arma does it like this however they have the character rotate at the hip as you look up and down.
Does anyone have some experience or some useful notes or posts on doing it this way vs the classic hands and weapon and floating legs.

UFPS only has floating arms

The new version of UFPS has a full body FPS solution now. You can look down and see feet.

Other than that, you will need to know how IK works. Head look controller is a good place to start. You can tweak the code to make so that the upper body moves independent to the lower body until a certain angle in reached.

I own UFPS from asset store, the solution isn’t appropriate.
Characters need to be able to look and see their arms attached to their shoulders.
