Hi all, I recently wrote down some ideas for my first videogame, and to start learning I decided to install the FPS Microgame to learn some of the basics of making an FPS game. However, every time I try to start the FPS Microgame, some sort of bug starts to happen where the camera can’t be controlled, and instead it just looks directly up and starts spinning. I’m not sure if this was implemented as part of a tutorial on how to fix bugs or something similar, but so far I haven’t been able to figure out how to fix this issue. If any further information is required, please let me know and I’ll be ready to answer.
Hey there!
Could you let us know what version of the Editor you are using and whether or not any errors/warnings are showing in the console when you start it?
I
I’ve both tried Unity 2020.1.1f1 64 bits and a couple of older versions a few months back when I first wanted to try and learn game design. The console doesn’t seem to show any issues with the the game so I’m really at a loss. If need be, I can record a capture of my screen to show what specifically I’m talking about
That would be VERY helpful if you could <3
Sorry for taking so long, here’s the video (which I uploaded to YouTube since the file extension wasn’t compatible)
Thank you! I’ll raise this with the team responsible and come back to you with an update once i get one.
Hi again - have you tried using this specifically with the 2019 LTS version? You mentioned trying earlier versions but this project will only work with 2019 LTS.
I’ll give that a try and let you know! Thank you
