Just an Idea I had, if you had a multiplayer game on a PC and one game, what if you plugged in more keyboards and mouses to play multiplayer on one screen. Of course you would need a bigger screen but that idea would jump all the networking and server issues.
Plugged keyboards and mouses into what? The cpu?
Forget bigger screen, good luck convincing gamers to find a table big enough to keep those keyboards and mice on for gaming.
As far as I know, computer doesn’t count 2 keyboard as 2 different input devices like gamepads. Instead, when you press W in one of the keyboard, both players would go forward.
Yeah, I figured that would be the case. Guess it would just be easier to get more game controllers.
Though the idea of making a program to look for two keyboards and have them seperated on there commands would be interesting. Then in an Rts you could get twice as much done assuming your sharing knowledge
There was a program that could “seperate” one computer into two or more, depending on how much stuff you can plug in. But it needed 2 monitors too
