Hi,
I had launched a free ASO service last year to promote my own apps, but I wonder how many people have known the service.

Hm, interesting tool.
However I’m wondering what keywords might be popular. I thought of something like clash, tiny, bird or flappy, but I’m not hitting a value larger than 25. Also I’m not sure how to interpret the data. I guess it just counts the number of apps including this keyword. So does it make sense to include popular keywords or is it better to use unpopular keywords? An introduction on how to use the tool might help ![]()
I added the tool to my list for free market research, fits quite well: https://games-market-research.zeef.com/johannes.deml
I’m interested to get more insight on the functionality!
Though ‘clash’, ‘tiny’, ‘bird’ or ‘flappy’ are hot words on the top chart, but the algorithm doesn’t think them as really hot words.
It does not just count the number of apps including this keyword, but it always counteract the influence from the top chart, those apps in top chart have lower weights to reflect real searching actions from users, higher rank in the top chart, lower weight set to the app.
The algorithm assumes that, If the mean rank(within Top 1000) of all the apps contained in the keyword is higher, the popularity of the keyword is higher.
You may try ‘animal’ and ‘photo’, the algorithm treat them as really popular keywords, though they may not appear in the top chart.
I recommend that people use popular and meaningful phrases to form their app titles and keywords list, because almost any good single keywords are full of apps, but phrases are not that full, so use phrases is a better trick.
