It’s supposed to be for 7-12 year old boys but we all play it! If you battle against the Epsilon tribe, you can set your bugs on fire. How fun is that! (To select the bug you’re playing, you have to buy the bug at a toy store and enter its product code on the website.)
Oh, and I composed all the music and did the sound design. The music I did in Garage Band, and the sound FX are from http://sounds.beachware.com (we bought their commercial license for only like $20!).
Hmmm, it’s got promise, but the controls feel really unpolished. I’m sorry I can’t say more than that… making player controls feel good is kind of an art that I certainly haven’t mastered.
Interesting game. I could find myself playing it more if it were polished a bit more. For one, the camera should rotate with the character so that we can see around him. I was often being shot at by bugs I couldn’t see. Also, maybe slerp the rotation of the bug so its less “jumpy.” And it was annoying when walking into a rock by accident and my shot going right over the enemy’s head. Other than that and possibly some graphical improvements I think its solid gameplay. Good luck!
