My name is Sergio Rustarazo and today I want to show you all my first game ever made and published.
The title of this game, is Free Fall.
It’s a endless runner made for android in which you have to last as long as possible while falling from the sky avoiding all the birds that appear on your way!
Visually I really like the game. The artwork is consistent and goofy, and I say that in a good way. You’re not overwhelmed with ads which is a big complaint I have about a lot of games. When the game hits the point of being challenging, it’s fun. I also like the balance of the items you can pickup (hearts, sticks, balloons). And I laughed a little when I picked up my first balloon and the first time I whacked a bird with a stick. It was oddly satisfying.
Constructive Criticism
I wish the player had some sort of animation or rotation when turning. Not having this makes the player feel kind of stiff.
The biggest criticism I have with the game is that it takes too long to get challenging. The first hyper-casual game I ever got addicted to was Flappy Bird, and in that game earning your first point was as challenging as earning your 100th point. The fact that starting a new game would get me right back to the same level of difficulty was a contributing factor to my leg falling asleep so many times in the bathroom. It seems to take about a minute for this game to get difficult, which I think might keep players from wanting to jump right back in and play again after dying.
Another suggestion would be to come up with a couple additional enemy types in addition to the birds.
Just my two cents.
Overall though I think you have something pretty good here.
And thanks for the feedback! I think I will do something about the difficulty on the firsts moments of the game, and also I’m right now thinking about a new pair of enemys
