Does anyone have any free zombie prefabs that i could download? if you oculd you will be awesome, or just tell me a place to download them, im kinda new to unity, about a week or two, so i just would like a prefab, just to see how it works and use it.
If you open Unity, click on Window->AssetStore, there is a fully rigged zombie model available for free…
Right inside Unity itself…
No need to go search anywhere…

I’m making a zombie pack with several animated zombies, and hopefully some neato system for blowing off limbs. Do you guys think there is a need for this?
I was hoping to make some $$ on it, but mostly just for fun (as I need them myself for a project). Is the asset store a good place to sell things? I’m getting the impression that it hasn’t quite taken off yet.
well. see the problem with buying things is im only 13 so i can’t buy anything via the internet and i don’t have a job, and my parents don’t take me serious about my project at all, so im just the only one supporting myself, so as of now lol, i neeeed free things, i hate to be bummin’ off of people though lol
Well if you need free stuff you could try making your own prefabs. It’ll help you get a new skill (or improve it if you already know what you are doing), you will get it free of charge and whenever you want.
But it will require some effort. An all to common show stopper!
i know, i need some more tutorials on that stuff, i have made games before, but very basic ones, i need realllllllly basic modeling tutorials
Well, if you want suggestions it might help if you say what program you’re going to use (consider this a trick question… 
)
Anyway, for Blender I would look around blendercookie.com ( “New to blender? Start Here” pretty self explanatory, click it) , 3dbuzz.com does have some stuff for 3Dsmax and maya, cg.tutsplus.com also has tutorials, but most – if not all – are a bit more advanced or completely focused on a particular subject. Other than that there’s always youtube. Of course there are probably more places for – free – video tutorials, but I listed the ones I know and use.
Obviously, if you don’t make an effort and spend some time learning, not even all the video tutorials on the world will save you
On a separate remark, 3dbuzz.com also has a nice looking series of tutorials for Unity 3, if you’re just starting with Unity it might be nice to watch it.
the zombie model in the unity assets store is free you don’t need to pay, just download.

The guy who created the RapidLight kit recently released a guide on here that includes a section on where to get a bunch of free models. Just have a look around for that… I think it was in Showcase…

hey man i know that feel i started unity at that age as well :). And i know how hard it is with parents because they dont take it serious…And i know you could do with a 3d modeler and i am a 3d modeler. But not everything is free and not every free thing can u use for ur own game. So i suggest learning a little about 3d modelling/Asset creation so that u dont need other ppl or websites or etc. Well thats just my frndly advice but if 3d modelling is just not ur thing…Then u could pm me and ill see what i can do good day.
