FreeLook camera confusion?

Hi guys!

In Unity 5’s new Standard Assets, we have the FreeLook Camera Rig, which, IIRC, in the “Sample Assets” before they were official, it was a camera kind of like GTA IV or Assassin’s Creed.

Now, I can move it side to side, but as soon as it goes so far left or right, it “bounces” off like an invisible barrier.

Can someone clear up this confusion for me?

I do not have the FreeLook script you are talking about nor the modifications you made.
Without more usefull informations you will not get any useful help.
Can you post the script?
Can you make a short video of the unwanted behavior you get and describe how it should be?

Old question but I ran into the same issue. I found that adjusting the turn smoothing higher in the Free Look Cam component can remove this effect, but increases the sensitivity of the free look as well.
