Why have two feedbacks? Users only have 10 votes, so to vote both requests will use 20% of someone’s votes.

We do have some community sites to let people help translate the docs. So see:

http://docs.unity3d.com/es/current/Manual/SceneView.html

and

http://docs.unity3d.com/ru/current/Manual/SceneView.html

We do not currently have a French translation system set up.

Why two ? Just to let people choose what they prefer.
I think that both are required but I am realistic. So, it would be nice if one of them is completed.
Do you know how to set up the French translation system ?
Any help is welcome
Thank you

Obviously… but we’ll wait for more votes.

Sorry if it is an off topic but i was reading the SceneView in spanish and there are some mistakes or improvements (espichado, empoderarlo a usted…). Is there any way to help in this?

Thanks! and sorry for the off topic again.

Hi Debhon! Sure you can, anything you see strange you can change it by logging in to http://translate.unity3d.com. In addition, you can continue translating Unity’s documentation if you want and helping out with getting the docs in spanish.

Very very interesting ! Thank you so much for the information

Pour information, voici un excellent tutorial en français:

Le même en anglais:

Bonne lecture !

For information, here is an excellent tutorial in French

Could you please inform me from how many votes ?
Thank you

Sorry for being unclear
In fact, I would like to know what is the limit (vote number) for starting to localize the documentation / tutorials in French. :stuck_out_tongue:
Thank you Graham

There is no number you need to pass beyond. It’s just good to know how many people are interested in this localised documentation.

144 votes :stuck_out_tongue:

:hushed: 154 votes !
This shows that French version is really expected by French customers ;):eyes::slight_smile:

Wow, I imagined that there would be more than 154 French people using Unity. Wow. You think that’s about right?

Of course, there are more than 154 French people using Unity ! :stuck_out_tongue:
I confirm that French customers really expect the localization of Unity documentation into French.
I read it in various forums dedicated to Unity or Game development.
:hushed: Wow, there are 182 votes !

(Updated on November 4)

Would it be possible to start translating the documentation into French ?
It may decide a lot of (new) French users to use Unity and it will encourage the current French users to contribute and to promote Unity. :sunglasses:
Thank you

18 votes for the full translation in French (GUI & Documentation)

I’ll support you in this, I myself would of love some french docs when I first started out using the engine back in 2010. In fact, i’m also trying to give back to the french community by translation the video tutorial that I’m producing

English

And a french replica
