but the one in the UAS appears to be different

"This pack doesn’t contain 3D source files or multi material characters. "

so what/why the difference?

The full version available at Frogames.net includes sources, 5 UV maps version and exports for other game engines.
Unity devs usually don’t care about those files, and if they do the update to the full version is possible.
