What is it?
From Draugr Till Dusk is a game i am working on by my self for the PC. It will be based on nordic myth where the main enemy will be the Draugr who will only come out from there cairns at night. There will also be other hazards that the player must watch out for including: wolf packs, Jotan(Giants), wraiths and more. At first the player will control one Viking type hero that will establish a safe secure haven so that others can come and live there. Eventually you will have a community that you must keep healthy and happy by providing them with food, water, and a safe place to live. If you do not provide these things, they will leave and go back to the mainland. The game will focus heavily on resources like honey, mushrooms, iron, wood etc, Each resource will have a use, examples: honey makes mead to keep your people happy, mushrooms can make brews depending on the mushroom type, Iron is used by a blacksmith to make weapons, tools and armor. There will be many more recipes in the finished game. There will be skills in the game for the villagers to improve including forestry, woodcutting, combat, archery, smithing, alchemy, building and crafting. The benefits of having higher skills gives that villager increased speeds when performing a gathering skill or unlocks new craftable recipes for creation skills, just to name one, the woodcutting skill will increase the chance to get bee hives(honey) or fruit from trees. Villagers will also have negative traits and positive traits that will effect the way they react to certain things, for example, the lazy trait will make that villager run out of energy quicker and therefore requires more rest. the greedy trait will reduce the hunger bar faster. But maybe you will get lucky and receive the Tireless trait that will be the opposite of the lazy trait.
What is the goal?
There will be 3 Draugr cairns placed on the randomly generated map that will have a difficulty value of easy, medium and hard. they will contain a randomly generated dungeon that can be accessed by the player once he/she thinks his/her warriors are up to the task of taking on the Draugr in there home turf. Once the Draugr boss is vanquished at the end of the dungeon that dungeon will no longer spawn Draugr at night. Once all 3 of these dungeons are dealt with, the player will have completed the game.

Main Focus
The game will be focused on gameplay over graphics because my 2d art skills are very slow and generally not very good. I want to make sure that the game will be replayable thats why i am focusing on randomly generated maps and dungeons.
