When having a scene with fog do you manipulate camera far clip plane to be adequate for current fog distance.
This might make Frustum Culling more efficient.
You certainly can do that. Certainly games from the early few generations of consoles made heavy use of that (see: Turok, Medal of Honor, God of War, Sonic R, etc). But depending on your current skybox and the geometry in the scene the fully fogged geometry may still be visible. At least in silhouette. You can make heavy use of LODs to keep the silhouettes, or make your skybox mostly a solid color.
