Full Adam Demo

Are you guys going to post the video on your Youtube channel? The one in the stream is so dark I can’t see anything.

It’s a shame the story just went no where… was that really the whole demo? Like they spend all that time making a great looking demo but don’t bother getting a director and/or writer just to finish off the story? Felt so unfinished.

It’s already out there and if it’s too dark, you have a problem with your monitor:

No, that’s the first part. At Unite they showed the full demo.

Ah, they just announced it? Maybe you could wait a bit.

Maybe because it’s not finished? Where is that stream you’re talking about?

Thanks. Well now I understand why you say it’s dark…

The man in the green t-shirt says “the second part of Adam”, not “the last part”, so, my guess is that there will be a third and last part.

I guess it might be supposed to continue, but they haven’t said that at all. I was under the impression that that’s it? It could be cool if at every Unite they show part of the demo and throughout the year they show the whole short film

On the plus side I have so many ideas for silent short films based on it. Once the assets are out it will be interesting if people make full stories using the assets

I would assume the Adam demo was developed to showcase what Unity is capable of. That’s why Adam lacks heavy storyline. Storyline was never the objective of the demo. The objective was to show off what unity can do.

It’s an ongoing thing as far as I know, so you get a bit more, and each bit more shows a bit more Unity tech, it’s a nice evolution. Don’t expect the hobbit tho.

I don’t expect Hobbit. I expect the whole LOTR.

There are a lot of great movies out on dvd and blu-ray as well as ya know at the cinema and such. Not knocking the effort put into both this micro movie clip as well as the tech behind it… I’d just find it a lot more interesting if it was an actual playable game. Granted I just don’t share the enthusiasm over graphics and movie stuff. Want to “do” instead of just watch. I wonder if at one of these Unites they will unveil a cool new game?

See, now in addition to “make a MMO” button people will want a “make a cg movie” button too.

Bit of a long shot but if anyone who is attending the making of adam talk now in Amsterdam could post any pertinent news such as when we might get our hands on some of the effects, that would be highly appreciated.

Uploaded Jun 2. Somebody at Unity likes to make us suffer I think.

Thanks for finding that! I dont understand why it is hidden from the main Unity youtube page.

Meanwhile looking at some demo developer twitter feeds, it seems they are still crunching hard to finish the demo, so I guess it wasnt really finished for Unite Europe.
