How well (or badly, as the case may be) will Unity 2.6 run on a 2002 G4 Power Mac with a dual 867mhz CPU, 1 gigabyte of ram, a 64 mb graphics card (with 3d acceleration) and 20 gb ard drive space left?
I have been running it with wine on Ubuntu (works ok…) but there is only so much you can do.
potentially not at all as that box is likely 10.3 if not older?
Actually, it’s running 10.5… No problems at all. And for comparison, it runs Logic Pro (sort of Garageband on steroids), which is meant for intel macs (it can run on ppc), just fine. Logic fills the RAM too…
Why don’t you download Unity and see for yourself?

Unity has a free version you can download, to test and see.
Unless you have a tight download limit, due to your ISP ?
I did try… Not too slow, but all the text turned into random lines crossing the screen. Time for a new computer… 13" Macbook Pro, I think. Should run just fine on that.
