Hello,
I would like to welcome you to Game Art Market, an online game asset marketplace where you can download for free, buy and sell game ready 3d models and textures. Here is the link. http://www.gameartmarket.com/
I am confident that it will benefit both game artists as well as developers or game enthusiasts with zero sales fees Until 2014.
Game Art Market aims to become the world’s central hub for all game-ready 3D models, textures, materials and sprites to name a few. The mission of the site is to provide a marketplace for all areas of art for game development.
If you have any questions or suggestions please reply below or send me a message.
3DRT> You are right that the items are very similar to yours. We take the intellectual property (IP) matters very seriously as we have also 3d artists on our team who check every model if they work OK and match the description. We contacted the publisher who admitted that his model was based on images of your models and we agreed to have it unpublished for copyright reasons. I encourage you to upload some of your 3d models to Game Art Market. I can see that you have a large library of game art, we can help you with fast batch upload.
If you notice anything like that again. Please let me know and we will make it OK. Now that I saw your work I will have an eye out for similar uploads.
kurylo3d> You are right that it is similar to asset store, however with Game Art Market we would like to serve larger audience and other game engines as well as unity3d.
I have to admit that i thought this looked cool until i found out you had stolen assets from 3DRT.com, and just made slight alterations. Even though you claim that someone else uploaded this, it seems in my opinion that you have just downloaded others work and uploaded it as your own. There is almost no consistency in the modeling styles. I think you should provide the customers some sort of reasurrence that you are in fact entitled to sell the assets, and that the developer has given you permission. This would help you to come off as more trustworthy, as well as confirming that you are legitemately concerned about IP matters and copyright infringement. Other than that i wish you all the luck on becoming “the world’s central hub for all game-ready 3D models, textures, materials and sprites to name a few”
Rubber, Thank you for reply, I appreciate your feedback.
The policy is exactly the same as with any other 3d model marketplace. If you find anything that you think is there for wrong reasons please let us know and we will react as fast as possible. Just like we did now.
One of the cars had very similar geometry, the racing car however had differences in geometry especially at the back of a vehicle. Both were however too similar in style to 3DRT. I have looked through 3DRT portfolio and there are no other models that would be similar. Perhaps comparing UV layout would be a good idea. Some 3DRT 3d models are very simple in geometry and have great textures therefore one can make very similar geometry model rather easily even following wireframe images. If there is anything more that we can do on our end I would be more than happy to help.
Anyway it is now sorted out now.
I can see how the sentence could be misread, i am not a native English speaker so my English isn’t prime. What i meant is, that because this site is new, he might have just went on different places online to find models for his site. Noone would upload models if the site seems unused, because it would seem like noone visited the site. I did not think they were stolen because of the lack of consistency, but because of the lack of documentation, and because of the comment by 3DRT. Nevertheless, i have changed my mind regarding the trustworthyness of Game Art Market, after getting a good response on the prior comment i made.
