Hi Guys I just made a quick quiz game with unity I published 3 day ago, now have 31 downloads and 6 ratings. If search hole name game isn’t searched.
How to avoid that, are in google play some tags that I miss or game must simply lots of download to be searched?
Well, first of all this is not related to Unity as it only involves google play as publishing platform.
I would say that’s quite normal. When i worked for a games company we also released a new game but it couldn’t be found when using the search function. Google does optimise it’s search and short keywords are simply ignored. This is the same when using google to searhc websites. Short words like “a”, “is”, “you”, … are usually ignored when google create it’s “website-index”. See this SO question. Another reason is: Your game is unknown and therefore not relevant. You should promote the game through other channels as well.
In the meantime your game can be found when you search your name.
