I sent my game out to get reviewed today and got the message back that our game was crashing. So we rushed around and managed to find an iPad mini and downloaded the game off of the Canadian app store and it ran great. Anyone have any idea why it would be crashing repeatedly on the reviewer’s iPad mini but not the one we have? We’ve tried lots of things like no wi-fi, log in and out of gamecenter ect but nothing seems to make it run slower.
The reviewer called us sloppy programmers
Please help.
What’s your memory usage like?
It’s pretty high but even when we have 10 different games running here locally it’s not crashing. The reviewer restarted his device and was still seeing the game crash within a few levels.
It’s possible he has a different version of iOS on his device. It could be something unrelated to the app, like maybe he leaves too many apps running.
I too am an iOS developer, and have received several requests for help when an end user has one of my apps crash on an iPad mini when we have tested it thoroughly before putting it on the app store. We use the same iOS 9.1 and the same device iPad mini so it cannot be an iOS difference. We have also told the end user to clear the ram by deleting all apps that are currently running. The app still crashes. The customer has supplied logs from her iPad which I have attached to this post. Has Unity fixed this issue? I notice there have not been posts since 2013.
